Lori Mauerberger was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1981. And it didn’t take long before she showed signs of interest in the field of beauty. At the tender age of three, she sported a red bow on her rather bald head, and that’s where it all began. Throughout Lori’s school career, she was always considered the ‘guru’ by her friends when it came to fashion, hair and make-up. After matriculating, she decided to take her natural talent to a professional level and obtained a diploma from The International Academy of Health and Skin Care. She then went on to study make-up and hair styling at the ‘Professional Make-up school’. It was then ‘Bon Voyage’ to Lori who took up a position on the Carnival Victory Cruise Liner in the Caribbean. At sea, amid the sunny skies, she worked not only as a beauty therapist but also as a product retailer, spa receptionist and public speaker. A year later, she was back in Cape Town preparing for her next move abroad: London was calling! Despite the miserable grey days, Lori’s experience in London was varied and very colourful.
